36 Minutes of Stretching
Comments: My plan was to lift and if my back started to bother me, shut it down. Back didn't act up (it only does in certain positions I guess) so I went at it. Very very disappointed with how log pressing went. 190lbs and above felt like a ton. Just awful. I'm getting stronger everywhere but here and I'm thinking it may be due to one of two things. I could be doing too much for upperbody now with all the pressing but that seems unlikely as on DE day, the log felt light on even the 270lbs cleans. So the other idea is that my lower body squat based workouts are becoming too taxing to get enough leg drive for my overhead lifts. So I'll be switching them to the weeks I do deadlifts. See how that works. So at the time, still pissed off and went to do a new exercise, double overhand axle power shrugs. I started really light and found it quite easy so instead of doing 30lbs jumps as planned, I just went plate, quarter, plate. Surprised to work up to 375lbs. Still pissed with log pressing and upped the weight considerably for bench rows. Failed to get the reps, really freaking tough. I wasn't done with my log press anger so I increased the pressdowns a lot too. Actually got all the reps. Stretching and resting tomorrow. Hoping that this back thing goes away completely before the show.
