32 Minutes of Stretching

Comments: Very sore in my back. A good type of sore like a small child has been hanging from my neck all day kind of sore. Trained at a new place today. Max Fitness is a small powerlifting gym nestled in intercity Harrisburg. I'd been invited to come train by one of my training partners but he couldn't make it out that night so I was solo besides the three guys who were there training deadlifts and squats. I do like the competition style bench press bench but it couldn't adjust the uprights to my height so I needed a lift off after 300lbs, otherwise I'd be doing a half rep before I even started the lift. I'm not really a fan of lift offs as hands in my line of sight can get a little distracting and everyone provides a slightly different lift off. 385lbs was ugly but I'll take it. It looks like Darren (guy spotting that set) touches it but he didn't, he's just really really close to the bar. I imagine they get that close when you got training partners going for +600lbs on the bench. Screwed up the first rep with 347lbs which made the second rep tough. Techincally a PR but not counting it since I haven't had a max double. Strict pressing felt good, would have liked to have made it a triple with 230lbs but I'll take it. Decided to do regular grip bent over rows instead of my usual snatch grip style and I figured they'd be easier. Wrong. The increased range of motion makes it much tougher so I'll have to drop the weight a bit. I'll be using this style from now on. Finished up with rear delts and stretching. My soreness will have soreness.
